Two everyday oils. Two distinct culinary identities.

Some oils disappear quietly into a dish. Others become part of its character.

This combination brings together two traditional cooking oils that offer distinctly different expressions in the kitchen.

Wood Pressed Groundnut Oil brings a naturally mild, nutty character that works effortlessly across everyday cooking. Wood Pressed Coconut Oil, meanwhile, carries the unmistakable aroma and flavor of coconut — particularly at home in South Indian, coastal and coconut-led preparations.

Different ingredients. Different culinary traditions.

Yet we craft both with the same patient approach.

Wood pressed groundnut oil — mild. Nutty. Remarkably versatile.

Groundnut oil earns its place in everyday kitchens because it doesn’t need to dominate a dish.

Its naturally mild, rounded and subtly nutty character works across a wide range of preparations, allowing vegetables, spices and other ingredients to remain at the center of the food.

Use it for:

  • Everyday sabzis
  • Dal and tadka
  • Sautéing
  • Stir-frying
  • Parathas and cheelas
  • Shallow frying
  • Traditional Indian snacks
  • General everyday cooking

That versatility makes groundnut oil particularly useful when you want the oil to complement the food rather than define it.

Wood pressed coconut oil — distinctive by nature.

Coconut oil takes a different approach.

Its naturally recognizable coconut aroma and flavor can become an integral part of the finished dish, particularly in cuisines where coconut traditionally belongs.

It works beautifully in:

  • South Indian curries
  • Coastal preparations
  • Vegetable dishes
  • Tempering
  • Coconut-based gravies
  • Traditional regional recipes
  • Baking and selected desserts

We don’t try to make coconut oil artificially neutral.

Instead, we preserve the character that tells you exactly where the oil came from.

Why keep both in your kitchen?

Because different dishes ask different things from their cooking oil.

Groundnut oil offers versatility. Its mild, nutty character makes it an easy companion for everyday cooking where you want other ingredients to lead.

Coconut oil offers identity. Its distinctive aroma and flavor can become part of the dish itself, especially across South Indian and coastal preparations.

So, rather than asking which of the two is better, a more useful question is:

What are you cooking today?

Choose groundnut when you want a versatile, subtly nutty base.

Choose coconut when the character of coconut belongs in the recipe.

One combination simply gives your kitchen the freedom to choose.

Two different ingredients. One patient process.

Despite their different culinary personalities, we craft both oils according to the same philosophy.

We slowly extract them in small batches using traditional wooden lakdi ghanis, rather than designing the process around maximum industrial extraction speed.

After pressing, we allow the oils to settle naturally before filtration and bottling.

We do not chemically refine them to make them unnaturally neutral. We do not bleach them to standardize their appearance. We do not deodorize them to erase their natural aroma. And we do not use solvent extraction.

Instead, we allow groundnut to remain recognizably groundnut and coconut to remain recognizably coconut.

From the wooden ghani to glass

Our responsibility doesn’t end when pressing finishes.

That is why we pack our wood-pressed oils in glass bottles rather than conventional plastic oil containers.

For us, packaging is part of the product journey — not simply something added after production.

If you’d like to understand the thinking behind this decision, explore Why We Choose Glass Bottles for Our Wood Pressed Oils.

Good oil should not be anonymous

Knowing that an oil is “wood pressed” tells you about its extraction method.

But we believe you should be able to know more.

Through our Know Your Product (KYP) initiative, published production batches can be explored individually, including sourcing information, production details and available laboratory reports.

Both Groundnut Oil and Coconut Oil currently have published batch records available through KYP.

Explore your oil before or after purchasing through Know Your Product.

Because transparency shouldn’t end with what is written on the front of a bottle.
